Guard-Disc is a highly efficient column protection device that guards the analytical column from both particulate matter and chemical contamination. Guard-Disc utilizes TFE or PVC sheet impregnated with bonded silica to create a highly efficient, high capacity membrane which protects your analytical column, is easy to inspect and is very inexpensive to replace. The highly efficient disc is approximately 1 mm thick. Its new, unique PEEK holder is precision manufactured to very tight tolerances and can be hand tightened to 5000 psi. |
The
holder allows rapid inspection of the element to determine when it's
time to change it.
Direct connection to your HPLC column results in zero dead volume. The holder is supplied with a tube stop depth compatible with most of today's HPLC fittings. If you need a different stop depth, it's a simple matter to change the connecting tube to accommodate your HPLC column's end fitting. The small volumes and direct connection means performance loss due to the Guard-Disc is minimal if even measurable. They will not alter the selectivity of your analytical column. |
