All About Organomation Associates, Inc.

This was the first Organomation "High-speed Analytical Evaporator," the Model 103. It could handle up to 12 samples at one time, using air or nitrogen . It was made in Shrewsbury, Massachussetts.

This company was founded in 1959 by the late Dr. Neal McNiven, who foresaw the need for sample preparation instruments required for chromatography. He developed the first analytical high-speed nitrogen evaporator, the forerunner of many similar devices. There are many of these instruments still in existence and in operation. The first product was popular from the very beginning and found acceptance in a variety of markets. It could accommodate up to twelve test tubes of various diameters simultaneously with a unique front loading design.

In the beginning, the evaporator was sold directly from a small manufacturing area in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. As the demand for the product increased, it necessitated a larger plant. In 1982, Organomation constructed its new headquarters and production facility in Berlin, Massachusetts. The emphasis at that time was on Research & Development. The objective was to listen to laboratory personnel in various areas in order to discover new markets and applications. Sometimes, only a minor modification was needed to an existing product to satisfy a specific requirement. Frequently, new or improved analytical methods called for the development of new instruments that made the sample preparation process easier.

Evaporation was not the only need in laboratories. The demand for extracting an increasing number of samples became evident.

Organomation developed new technology to meet this demand and satisfy the needs of a growing laboratory industry. We now offer over 20 different analytical instruments for both evaporation and extraction. Some of the latest instrument developments allow theuser to extract and evaporate in the same instrument. Organomation carries both standard and custom-designed glassware for complete integrated solutions.

Our newest instrumentation is adaptable to today's high technology glassware designs such as the Coming Accelerated One-Step* Extractor. We have sales representatives throughout the United States and overseas which give Organomation a world wide presence. We pursue distinctive global market areas, including Australia, Asia, Europe and South America.

Our quality instruments are highly respected world wide. We are proud of our reputation, and have many satisfied customers. As in the beginning, we still listen to prospective customers' needs. We strive to provide our customers with the instrumentation necessary to achieve the needs of a constantly changing technological environment. Our extensive experience is yours for the asking.
