Concentration The S-EVAP solvent evaporators concentrate 50 to 1000 ml of solvent after an extraction process has been performed. It is ideal for Methylene Chloride, Hexane and other organic solvents used in environmental or industrial analysis. For oil and grease analysis requiring evaporation to dryness, round flasks and a shallow bath are used. For organic residue analysis and 1 to 3 ml endpoint. Kuderna-Danish flasks, insulated concentrator tubes and a deep bath are used. Solvent collection is standard on all models. Choose a 5, 8 or 10 position unit depending on your sample quantities. |
Multiple
Samples The MULTIVAP Nitrogen evaporators concentrate 1 to 50 ml of solvent in test tubes or small flasks. Each group of 30, 48, 64, 96 or 100 samples is batch processed in a removable rack. Starting and ending volumes are the same for all samples. MULTIVAPs find use in pharmaceutical science, medical testing and general research. |
| Individual
Samples The N-EVAP Nitrogen evaporators concentrate 1 to 50 ml of solvent in test tubes or small flasks. Each sample is installed individually into a spring-loaded sample holder. Five models feature 6, 12, 24, 34 and 45 positions. They are used in a wide variety of applications including environmental, medical, general research and education. Water baths or dry baths provide heat. |

Environments N-EVAP and MULTIVAP instruments can be ordered with acid resistant coatings and parts to protect against damage from acid vapors. |

Intrinsically
Safe Baths

| When an electrical bath is used for concentrating volatile solvents, there is a risk that the vapors will enter the bath case and be ignited. Organomation baths can be modified with a type Z-purge option (as specified by National Fire Protection Association) that makes the bath intrinsically safe. The case is sealed against | leakage and a tube fitting, filter and pressure gauge are attached. Positive pressure of 1 inch water is applied to the case to purge it and then maintained at 1 inch water to insure that vapors remain outside the case. The option is inexpensive and is recommended whenever highly flammable solvents are present. |
