Ion Exchange Chromatography Columns

Ion exchange chromatography is suitable for the analysis of biological samples such as proteins, peptides, amino acids & nucleic acids and glycoproteins. Shodex columns for ion exchange chromatography uses chemically stable polymer-based gel as packing material, making them superior in reproducibility and durability. In addition to standard columns with ID 4.6-8.0mm, we provide micro columns with ID 300micron-800micron, semi-micro columns with ID 1.0mm-2.0mm and preparative columns with ID 10mm and above.

IEC series These ion exchange columns are suitable for analysis of proteins, peptides, DNA, RNA, oligonucleotide, etc. We provide 4 types of ion exchange materials: strong anion exchange (QA), weak anion exchange (DEAE), strong cation exchange (SP) and weak cation exchange (CM). For DEAE and SP, we provide columns for rapid analysis packed with non-porous gel, DEAE-420N and SP-420N. Since methacrylate-based packing material is used in the IEC series, eluent with a wide pH range (pH2-12) can be used. Also, compared to columns with styrene-based packing material, there is less hydrophobic adsorption.

ES series		 We provide 2 types: weak anion exchange (DEAE) and weak cation exchange (CM). There is a slight difference in separation properties compared with those of the IEC series because of the difference in underlying resin.

WA-624		 These columns for weak anion exchange have a large ion exchange capacity (1.2 meq/g dry gel). Suitable for anion exchange analysis of nucleic acids such as nucleotides.
