Columns for Organic Acids: RSpak KC-811

Columns using ion exclusion, ion exchange (ion chromatography) and partition/adsorption mode are suitable for organic acid analysis. Shodex RSpak KC-811 can be used to analyze many types of organic acids because separation of organic acids is carried out by a multi-mode of ion exclusion, size exclusion and partition/adsorption. Columns for ion chromatography, IC SI-90 4E and SI-50 4E, columns for partition/adsorption, RSpak DE-413 and multi-mode columns with ion exclusion and reversed phase, RSpak NN-814, can also separate some organic acids and may be considered in the selection process based on the analytical needs. When using KC-811, KC-LG must be used as guard column for samples with many foreign substances other than organic acid, and KC-G for those with few foreign substances.

Max. usable temperature: 85deg-C
Max. usable ethanol concentration: 20%
In-column: 0.1% phosphate aqueous solution
Eluent conditions:
An aqueous solution containing 0.1% phosphoric acid is normally used as the eluent.
Do not use hydrochloric acid aqueous solution as the eluent since it corrodes the column.
